Project Overview

Street Arts Hire is a creative studio specialising in large-scale artwork and installations.

Their existing website was outdated and not actively generating enquiries, with most new business coming through word of mouth or social media. The goal of this project was to create a visually engaging website that better reflected the scale and quality of their work, while also supporting new client enquiries through the platform.

Key impact

Created a digital platform to showcase artwork and support inbound enquiries beyond social media and word of mouth

Project Problem

The previous website presented several limitations:

  • An outdated design that did not reflect the quality of the artwork

  • Limited ability to showcase large-scale or immersive projects

  • No clear pathway for generating enquiries through the site

  • Over-reliance on social media and referrals for new business

This meant the website was not contributing effectively to business growth.

Project Constraints

  • Highly visual content requiring careful layout decisions

  • Need to balance creativity with usability

  • Development complexity around interactive features

  • Existing reliance on external channels for lead generation

Project Approach

I designed a visually-led website focused on showcasing artwork in a more immersive and engaging way, while introducing clearer pathways for user interaction.

My approach included:

  • Creating a layout that prioritised visual storytelling and large-scale imagery

  • Designing a unique interface using horizontal scrolling on desktop to reflect the flow of artwork

  • Introducing an interactive map to showcase project locations

  • Structuring the site to support enquiry generation alongside exploration

  • Collaborating closely with the development lead to ensure feasibility of interactive features

The aim was to balance creativity with usability, ensuring the experience remained intuitive while highlighting the uniqueness of the work.

Project Outcome

The redesigned website provided a more engaging and representative digital presence for Street Arts Hire.

Key outcomes included:

  • A visually distinctive interface aligned with the brand’s creative identity

  • Improved presentation of large-scale artwork and installations

  • Introduction of interactive features such as horizontal scrolling and project mapping

  • A clearer pathway for users to make enquiries through the website

The platform now acts as both a portfolio and a supporting channel for new business opportunities.
